Boxing world champions 2026 span four fractured divisions, and as of July 2026, boxing has no single undisputed heavyweight champion. Oleksandr Usyk voluntarily vacated all four heavyweight belts in June 2026, and the division has already split three ways: Agit Kabayel holds the WBC title, Daniel Dubois holds the WBO title, and Murat Gassiev holds the WBA title, with the IBF strap still vacant. Below is a division-by-division look at the boxing world champions 2026 has right now, plus the one fighter currently holding all four belts at once.

Boxing World Champions 2026: Heavyweight Division
The heavyweight division is the most fractured it has been in years. Usyk’s exit ended his run as a two-time undisputed champion and opened the door for three separate titleholders:
| Sanctioning body | Champion |
|---|---|
| WBC | Agit Kabayel |
| WBO | Daniel Dubois (beat Fabio Wardley, 11th-round TKO, May 9 2026) |
| WBA | Murat Gassiev |
| IBF | Vacant |
Dubois is already lined up for a mandatory defense against Moses Itauma, and the IBF has yet to name a path back to a champion. Until one fighter starts collecting the others’ belts, heavyweight boxing stays a three-way, soon possibly four-way, split.
The same green-and-gold design Kabayel carries into every defense, replicated in brass and leather.
Who holds the light heavyweight titles?
At 175 pounds, Dmitry Bivol holds the IBF, WBO and WBA titles, keeping him one win away from undisputed status in the division. David Benavidez holds the WBC light heavyweight title while also carrying the WBA and WBO cruiserweight belts, a rare case of one fighter holding titles across two weight classes at once. A Bivol-Benavidez unification bout would settle the picture, but as of now no fight has been made.
Who holds the super welterweight titles?
Jaron Ennis reshaped the 154-pound division by beating Xander Zayas to add the WBO and WBA titles. Sebastian Fundora holds the WBC belt, and Josh Kelly holds the IBF title. That leaves three different champions across four belts, with Ennis holding half of them himself.

Who is actually undisputed right now?
Naoya Inoue is boxing’s only current undisputed champion. He retained all four recognized titles, WBC, WBA, WBO and IBF, at super bantamweight, and remains the single fighter in the sport holding a complete set at the same time. Every other division, from heavyweight down, currently has its belts split across two or more champions.
Undisputed reigns are rare by design. Since the WBO joined the WBA, WBC and IBF as a fourth major body in 2007, a fighter needs to beat three separate mandatory challengers and unify with the other titleholders just to get all four belts in the same hands, then defend all four to stay there. That is why the list of active undisputed champions is almost always one name long, or empty.

A quick guide to the four sanctioning bodies
Every division above draws its champions from the same four organizations. Here is what separates them:
- WBC (World Boxing Council), founded 1963, known for its green belt and the Muhammad Ali-linked prestige it carries in the heavyweight division.
- WBA (World Boxing Association), the oldest of the four, founded 1921, recognizable by its lion-crest center plate.
- IBF (International Boxing Federation), founded 1983, generally considered the most rankings-strict of the four bodies.
- WBO (World Boxing Organization), the youngest, founded 1988, which is why undisputed status only became a four-belt achievement after 2007.

Frequently asked questions
Who is the current undisputed heavyweight champion?
There is not one right now. Oleksandr Usyk vacated the undisputed heavyweight title in June 2026, and the belts have split between Agit Kabayel (WBC), Daniel Dubois (WBO) and Murat Gassiev (WBA), with the IBF title vacant.
Why did Usyk give up his heavyweight titles?
Usyk voluntarily relinquished his remaining heavyweight belts in June 2026 after a career that included three undisputed heavyweight reigns, saying the decision opened new opportunities for him outside the division.
Is anyone undisputed in boxing right now?
Yes, one fighter. Naoya Inoue holds all four major titles, WBC, WBA, WBO and IBF, at super bantamweight, making him boxing’s only current undisputed world champion.
What is the difference between WBC, WBA, WBO and IBF belts?
They are four separate sanctioning bodies that each crown their own champion per weight division. A fighter becomes undisputed only by holding all four at once, which is why unification fights are treated as the biggest events in the sport.
How often does this list change?
Often. Between mandatory defenses, unification fights and voluntary vacancies like Usyk’s, a division’s champion picture can shift within weeks. This page reflects the picture as of July 2026 and gets updated as titles change hands.
